Workplace Readiness




This program is ideal for individuals with significant sensory, cognitive, or ​physical disabilities, as well as those facing mental and behavioral ​challenges. It is tailored for people who are either entering the workforce for ​the first time, re-entering after a hiatus, or needing to enhance their ​workplace skills to secure and maintain employment.

Participants include:

  • Youth aged 14-24 transitioning from school to work.
  • Adults aged 25 and older seeking to improve their employability and ​adapt to workplace expectations.
  • Individuals returning citizens

Participants are provided with a Functional Assessment at the ​start of the program to determine their current skills and identify ​areas for development. Based on this assessment, an ​Individualized Instruction Plan (IIP) is created to guide their ​learning journey, ensuring that each participant receives ​targeted training aligned with their vocational goals.



Work Experience



The Work Experience Program at Phoenix Career Center provides ​participants with the opportunity to engage in real-world work ​environments. This program offers hands-on experience, allowing individuals ​to apply their skills, develop workplace behaviors, and explore career ​opportunities in various industries. Participants gain practical experience ​while receiving guidance and support to enhance their employability.

For participants seeking an alternative to traditional employment, our Self-​Employment Training (SET) component provides the skills and knowledge ​needed to start a small business. Participants will learn how to design ​business proposals, conduct market research, and access funding ​opportunities. This component helps participants build a solid foundation ​for launching and sustaining a successful business.This program is ideal for:

  • Youth aged 14-24: Transitioning from school to work, who need to ​establish strong work habits and gain confidence in community work ​environments.
  • Adults aged 25 and older: Including disadvantaged individuals with or ​without children, who need support in developing or re-establishing ​essential work behaviors.
  • Returning citizens and underemployed individuals: Who are seeking to ​refine their job skills and improve their employment prospects.

Reverse Job Sourcing



Our Reverse Job Sourcing (RJS) component is designed for participants who are ​work-ready and recently connected to the workforce. Participants are guided ​through structured job search activities aimed at finding sustainable employment. ​This includes building connections with prospective employers, participating in job ​fairs, and completing job applications.

Each participant receives monthly case management and personalized feedback ​to keep their job search on track.







This program is designed for:

  • Youth aged 14-24: Who are preparing to enter the workforce and need ​guidance in securing their first meaningful job.
  • Adults aged 25 and older: Including disadvantaged individuals, with or ​without children, who need assistance in finding suitable employment ​that aligns with their vocational goals.
  • Returning citizens and underemployed individuals: Looking for career ​guidance and assistance to move into stable, competitive employment.





Who It Serves



  • Participants receive one-on-one guidance through the entire job search ​process, from identifying job opportunities to submitting applications ​through innovative techniques from book, “Reverse Job Sourcing Guide”.
  • We help participants create professional resumes and develop strong ​Linkedin profiles, and interview skills to increase their chances of securing ​employment.
  • We offer follow-up services for up to 90 days after placement to ensure ​job retention and provide additional coaching as needed.

Our Job Coaching service provides intensive, one-on-one support to ​individuals in competitive work settings. This service includes job task ​analysis, direct job training, and coaching to ensure participants can meet ​workplace expectations. Job Coaching also focuses on developing ​appropriate work behaviors, improving communication skills with ​supervisors and coworkers, and creating natural supports within the ​workplace. Our goal is to ensure job retention and long-term success in ​employment. For up to 90 days, we provide ongoing case management to ​help participants maintain their jobs. This includes job coaching, ​transportation assistance, and other services needed to ensure successful ​job retention.


This program is ideal for:

  • Youth aged 14-24: Who are transitioning from school to work and need ​individualized support in adapting to workplace expectations and ​performing job duties.
  • Adults aged 25 and older: Including individuals with or without children, ​who require on-site coaching to develop essential job skills and succeed ​in their employment.
  • Individuals needing additional support: Including those who may require ​short-term transportation or extended job coaching.
